SUV Driver Dies in Early Morning Fatal Crash
ONTARIO CALIFORNIA – In the early morning hours Thursday morning, August 16, 2018, a driver of a Nissan SUV paid the ultimate price when a dairy truck driver turned left in front of him on Gilman Springs Road near Moreno Valley. The deceased in the fatal crash was a 56-year-old man and a resident of Ontario, California, according to the California Highway Patrol.
“The truck driver failed to yield to the approaching Nissan,” a California Highway Patrol press release said. “The Nissan collided with the center of the tank trailer, continued underneath and out the opposite side.”
The driver of the 1997 Nissan Pathfinder was traveling eastbound on Gilman Springs Road when a full tanker truck pulled out of a dairy driveway making a left turn. The truck driver was uninjured. The accident investigation continues according to the CHP.
