Butte County Wildfires Burn More Than 148,000 Acres, Destroy Almost 12,000 Structures, Leave Countless Injured and Homeless

Almost 12,000 are confirmed destroyed (including homes). Over 71 fatalities are now confirmed and over 1,000 remain missing with the fire at 55 percent containment. Nearby communities remain in danger.

For those who have lost more than personal property, the times ahead will be even more difficult. Multitudes remain hospitalized a week after the deadly Paradise wildfire evacuation occurred. Hospitals are reporting that most burn patients have experienced ratios of between 20 to 50 percent of their bodies. Burn victims will experience additional financial hard ship and pain and suffering.
