Riverside Ambulance Worker Arrested for Sexual Assault

Riverside's Unsettling Revelation

It's a chilling day for the community of Riverside as a trusted medical professional stands accused of a grave violation of trust. Jason Anderson, a 22-year-old Riverside resident and employee of the American Medical Response (AMR), is currently in the throes of serious allegations. He's charged with sexually assaulting a teenage patient while on duty in an ambulance.

In the Line of Duty

On Friday, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department took Anderson into custody, suspecting him of sexual assault. The victim, a teenage girl, was under his care as she was being transported for a medical call. According to the Sheriff's department, Anderson didn't just commit the assault, but he also allegedly solicited sexual acts from this vulnerable teenager.

AMR Company Cooperation

Upon learning of the distressing incident, AMR immediately launched an internal investigation. A spokesperson for AMR asserted that the company is fully cooperating with the Sheriff’s Department's investigation. “We were informed of an alleged incident involving an AMR Riverside employee. Following our internal investigation of the allegations, we reported the incident to the Riverside Sheriff’s Department for further review,” the company announced in a statement.

Anderson was immediately placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. AMR affirmed that he hasn't returned to work since the alleged incident took place.

Arrest and Charges

Subsequent to the internal investigation and the revelation of the alleged misconduct, Anderson was booked into jail on sexual assault-related charges. His bail was set at a staggering $75,000, mirroring the gravity of the charges he now faces.
