5 Children, 2 Adults Injured In 110 Freeway Crash
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, CA (Aug. 12, 2020) – Southbound lanes of the 110 Freeway were recently closed for investigation following a multi-vehicle collision that occurred Wednesday night.
The Los Angeles Fire Department reported seven injured from the crash; an 8-month-old girl, an 11-month-old girl, a 3-year-old girl, a 6-year-old girl, a 10-year-old girl, a 27-year-old woman, and a 34-year-old woman.
All seven were taken to a nearby hospital shortly after the incident. Three are currently being treated for non-life threatening injuries. Four are reported to be in critical condition. Two others at the scene were evaluated for their injuries but declined to be transported to the hospital.
The Los Angeles Police Department has not yet commented on the cause of the accident, or which passengers were in the same cars. It still remains unclear whether drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident, or if those involved were associated in any way.
