Multi-Vehicle Collision Ends In Tragedy
WEST LOS ANGELES [February 20, 2021] – At approximately 5:00 PM, Thursday afternoon, the Los Angeles Fire Department received reports of a three-vehicle collision.
According to the reports, the incident occurred near the area of Olympic Blvd. and Overland Ave., West Los Angeles.
Upon arriving at the scene, Los Angeles firefighters found two vehicles badly damaged, with various disfigured vehicle parts scattered throughout the street.
One vehicle, a black SUV, had the entire right side of the frame torn off. The other was completely caved in from the back.
Although reports claimed three vehicles were involved, investigation by the fire department revealed that one car had simply pulled over to render aid and was mistaken for an involved vehicle.
After conducting further investigation, firefighters found the driver of one of the vehicles, an adult female, dead. She was pronounced dead on arrival.
The driver and passengers of the other vehicle, including a young male teenager, had sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident. They were quickly taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.
The condition of those who survived the crash but sustained injuries has not yet been made public. The identity of the female driver who passed away will not be revealed until her family has been sufficiently notified.
The cause of the accident, including whether or not drugs and alcohol were involved, is currently under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department. They are not currently requesting outside information to aid in this investigation.
