Huntington Beach Man Struck, Killed By Vehicle
54-Year-Old David Stame Killed On Huntington Beach Intersection
Huntington Beach – While crossing northbound at the intersection of Warner Avenue and Bolsa Chica Street, 54-year-old David Stame was struck by a gray 2018 Hyundai Elantra. The driver, a 66-year-old man, was traveling westbound on Warner Avenue when his vehicle struck the pedestrian. Authorities say it is still unclear if the victim was in a marked crosswalk at the time of the crash.
When officers responded to the scene of the incident, they found Stame suffering from severe injuries. He was then taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival according to Huntington Beach Police Department’s Sgt. Matthew Austin.
No city of residence was listed for Stame by the coroner’s office and neither alcohol nor drugs were considered factors in the crash.
Traffic Investigator D. Demetre urges witnesses of the incident to call (714) 536-5670 with any information pertaining to the crash, the driver or the victim.
