Garden Grove Police Vehicle Accidentally Strikes Bicyclist on Halloween – A Garden Grove Police vehicle accidentally struck a person riding a bicycle on Halloween at approximately 7:30 p.m. The bicyclist was hit by the police car at the intersection of Garden Grove Boulevard and Harbor Boulevard in the City of Garden Grove, California. The car vs. bike traffic collision left the rider with serious injuries, and he was transported by paramedics to the local hospital.
The Garden Grove Fire Department rushed to the scene of the serious traffic accident. They found the bicyclist on the ground near the corner of the intersection. The bicycle tire had dislodged from the bike and was laying in the middle of the roadway.
The California Highway Patrol in Orange County was immediately assigned to conduct the traffic accident investigation. Whenever a police officer is involved in a traffic collision, a different agency must be assigned to handle the case. Details of this Garden Grove bicycle accident are being withheld. The name and current physical condition of the bicyclist have not yet been released.
