20-year-old man declared dead at the scene of Moreno Valley Auto Crash Colliding with Light Pole in Moreno Valley
MORENO VALLEY, CA (MAY 29, 2016) – Driver Pronounced Dead After Crashing Into Light Pole and Trees – A 20 year old man identified as Willie Zarco was killed in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 29th, in Moreno Valley when his vehicle crashed into a light pull and some trees. The crash, which took place at the intersection of La Barca Road and Lasselle Street, was reported to authorities at 3:14AM. Zarco was declared dead by authorities at around 5AM at the intersection of La Barca and Lasselle, according to a Riverside County coroner.

Lasselle St. remained completely closed down for many hours between Iris and Gentian Ave. while accident reconstruction experts investigated the scene. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. While it is not now known whether drugs or alcohol were involved in causing the incident, investigation is ongoing.
